TEMPE, Jan. 23. (AP)—Smarting from the sting of a 43 to 29 defeat handed them last night by the University of Arizona, Coach Rudy Lavik's Bulldog basketeers from Arizona State Teachers college here hoped to gain vengeance tonight.

The locals made a game of it for most of the first half last night, but were overcome when Wildcat Forwards Vince Cullen and Bob Miller started hitting the hoop to rack up 11 points apiece.

Lavik will bo counting on his freshman ace, Verl Heap of St. Johns to flip in enough points to match the high scoring visitors. Heap sank four field goals and two free throws last night for 10 points.

Tonight's game will be the fourth meeting this season of the teams and Tempe will have to win to tie the series.
