FLAGSTAFF, Jan. 26, (AP) – The University of Arizona Wildcats reigned heavy favorites to annex the second of a two-game basketball series against their old-time rivals, the Arizona State Teachers College Lumberjacks, following last night's court travesty in which the visitor racked up a 55 to 23 victory.

A win tonight would establish Arizona at the state's standout collegiate performer. With the possible exception of West Texas State, the Wildcats also appear the class of the Border Conference.

In last night's tilt, the Lumberjacks couldn't cope with the lightning passing and fancy floor play of Arizona. It was their first conference game of the season and they looked just about that green.

Jack Padelford, Wildcat forward, topped his mates with 16 points, high Individual score of the evening.

The hall-time count favored Arizona 28 to 9.

The San Diego Marine base will meet the Unlycrslty of Arizona Wildcats at Tucson Friday and Saturday, February 5 and 6, according to an announcement made today. These were the only two dates remaining open on the Cat schedule.
