The 6-7 Davis turned in a brilliant effort against the Buffs, scoring 30 points and claiming 11 rebounds as the Wildcats played an excellent second half.

"We finally loosened up and played pretty well in the second half Saturday night," said Larson, whose Wildcats dropped behind by 23 points in the first half. "Colorado's quickness gave our guards plenty of trouble, and we still have a problem handling the ball. Wayne McDonald and Mike Kordik played pretty well and Davis looked terrific."
